Locum CRNA Opportunity
Schedule
- Shift start time: 8:00 AM
- Available shift lengths: 8, 10, or 12 hours
- Candidates must be flexible regarding shift duration and scheduling
- Preferred schedule layouts:
- 5x8-hour shifts
- 4x10-hour shifts
- 3-4x12-hour shifts
Practice Environment
- Care team model with medical direction/supervision by anesthesiologists
- Remote backup call coverage available Monday through Friday and weekends
- Call participation is not required but is preferred
Case Mix
- General OR cases
- Endoscopy (GI)
- Healthy pediatric cases
- ENT
- Plastic surgery
- No OB requirements
- All OB cases are transferred to near by Hospital
Skills & Experience
- Regional anesthesia experience, including ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, is highly preferred but not required
- Providers who do not perform regional anesthesia techniques (blocks, epidurals, or spinals) may have a more limited case mix focused on GI and select cases
- Cardiac experience, including familiarity with TEE, is a strong plus
- Most cardiac procedures within the system are performed at McHenry
Ideal Candidate
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Comfortable practicing within a medically directed care team model
- Flexible with scheduling and shift configurations
- Regional anesthesia experience preferred
- Strong clinical skills across a broad range of general anesthesia cases
