Job description
A regional medical center in Minnesota is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage. This opportunity offers an independent practice environment, a diverse surgical case mix, and flexible scheduling options. The facility utilizes Epic EMR and supports providers through an efficient credentialing process with temporary privileges available for qualified candidates.
Important Candidate Requirement: Candidates must reside more than two (2) hours from the facility location. Providers residing within the Minneapolis metropolitan area remain eligible for consideration.
Job Responsibilities
Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and assessments
Develop and implement anesthesia care plans
Monitor patients throughout surgical and procedural care
Manage post-anesthesia recovery and pain control
Collaborate with surgeons, proceduralists, nursing staff, and clinical teams
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within Epic EMR
Participate in assigned call coverage as scheduled
Case Mix Includes:
General Surgery
Orthopedics
Obstetrics
Pediatrics
Gastroenterology
Ophthalmology
Podiatry
Urology
Interventional Spine
*No cardiac cases.
Qualifications
Active CRNA license required
Minnesota license preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to meet hospital credentialing and privileging requirements
Recent clinical anesthesia experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills
Working Hours
6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
6:30 AM – 4:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
6:30 AM – 6:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
Call Coverage:
Weekday call: 4:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Weekend call: 6:30 AM – 6:30 AM
