Job description
A hospital in the Florida Panhandle region is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for locum tenens coverage. The provider will deliver anesthesia services in a collaborative hospital environment working under medical direction. The role includes a broad case mix across surgical and procedural settings, including obstetrics coverage.
This opportunity offers a structured schedule with a variety of day and evening shifts and optional call coverage. Providers will work closely with anesthesiologists and surgical teams to support safe, high-quality patient care across multiple anesthetizing locations within the hospital.
The facility utilizes Cerner EMR and operates with a team-based anesthesia model, providing coverage across operating rooms, procedural areas, and obstetric services.
Job Responsibilities
Monitor patient status throughout procedures and recovery
Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff
Maintain accurate anesthesia documentation in the EMR
Assist with obstetric anesthesia coverage when scheduled
Follow hospital safety and clinical protocols
Qualifications
Active state license and DEA preferred
Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA approved)
Current TB test within the last year
Minimum 24 months of anesthesia case logs required
Working Hours
7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (weekday OR coverage)
3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (additional OR coverage)
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM (evening coverage)
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (overnight OB coverage)
Weekend call coverage available.
