We are seeking a highly qualified Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to support Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital’s anesthesiology team. This role offers a unique chance to deliver high-quality anesthesia care in a Level III trauma environment, working alongside dedicated healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia care for adult and geriatric surgical patients
- Work within a supervised CRNA model to deliver safe and effective anesthesia
- Manage general surgical cases across various specialties in a hospital environment
- Collaborate with RNs and surgical techs in a busy Operating Room (OR) setting with 10 ORs
- Support trauma patients in a Level III trauma center
- Cover shifts primarily scheduled as 8, 10, or 12 hours, with no call requirement
- Serve in a hospital-based anesthesia practice with a diverse patient population
Required Skills:
- Valid state licensure as a CRNA
- Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist
- Proven experience providing anesthesia in a hospital setting
- Strong understanding of anesthesia techniques and patient monitoring
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to varied shift schedules and patient needs
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in trauma or Level III trauma centers
- Knowledge of the local healthcare environment
- Additional certifications in advanced airway management or pain management
- Previous experience in a supervised CRNA role
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Nurse Anesthesia from an ACNA-accredited program
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical anesthesia experience
- Prior work in a hospital or trauma setting
Other Requirements:
- Local providers preferred; travel reimbursement available within the area
- Credentialing period estimated at 90-120 days
- Must comply with all hospital policies and relevant certification standards
- Ability to obtain or maintain appropriate state and federal licensure and credentials
