CRNA Opportunity in Atchison & Hiawatha, KS
Position Details
Full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Independent CRNA practice with no anesthesiologist supervision
Rural critical access hospital environment
Day schedule with on-call responsibilities
Travel between two locations within the health system
Provide anesthesia services across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and procedural settings
Collaborative care with surgical, emergency, and specialty teams
Clinical Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive preoperative patient evaluations and anesthesia planning
Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care across multiple specialties
Manage airway techniques including endotracheal intubation and LMA placement
Perform regional anesthesia blocks including spinal, epidural, and peripheral nerve blocks
Provide intraoperative anesthesia management and continuous patient monitoring
Conduct post-anesthesia recovery evaluation and management
Coordinate care with surgical teams, emergency providers, and specialists
Educate patients and families regarding anesthesia plans and recovery expectations
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs

Requirements
Master’s or Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program
Current Kansas APRN license with CRNA designation or eligibility
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
Proficiency with ultrasound-guided regional blocks
Experience with obstetric anesthesia and emergent airway management
Preferred: 2–3 years of independent CRNA practice or rural hospital experience
