- Position Type: Locum tenens CRNA (Travel/Contract healthcare job)
- Location: Norfolk, Virginia (Virginia anesthesia jobs)
- Facility: 525-bed tertiary care hospital, Level I Adult Trauma Center
- Assignment Dates: January 5, 2026 – April 25, 2026
- Shifts: 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts available
- Shifts per Week: 5
- Hours per Week: 36
- Call: Weeknight and/or weekend call required (1:10 rotation)
- On-Site Position
CRNA Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) license
- Minimum 1 year of CRNA experience in a hospital or clinical healthcare setting
- Proficiency in general anesthesia for adults; pediatric anesthesia experience preferred
- Skilled in spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia techniques
- Ability to manage ventilation and perform central and arterial line insertions
- Willingness to participate in weeknight and weekend call rotation
CRNA Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective anesthesia care for general, orthopedic, neurosurgical (spine), vascular (excluding open heart), and obstetrical procedures
- Administer spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia as indicated
- Participate in cardiac cath lab cases and manage patient ventilation
- Insert and manage central and arterial lines as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced, academic hospital environment
- Participate in weeknight and weekend call rotation
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold the highest standards of patient safety
