This facility is a respected healthcare provider serving the Virginia community and surrounding areas. The surgical department features a combined practice model with both supervised and independent case management. The facility offers a variety of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, podiatry, gynecology, ophthalmology, and ENT procedures in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Opportunity: CRNA - Nurse Anesthetist
Job Details:
- Performs clinical anesthesia duties with direct patient care responsibilities
- Prioritizes anesthetic decisions and administers agents following established protocols
- Communicates patient status effectively to healthcare team members
- Performs coordinating duties by facilitating staff coverage, assignments, and breaks
- Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles across the life span
- Assesses patient data and interprets information relative to age-specific needs
- Demonstrates leadership through committee involvement and team projects
- Participates in education, research, and performance improvement initiatives
- Ensures patients and families are partners in the anesthesia care plan
- Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- 8 hours paid each shift
- No call requirements
- Casual position with shifts available on a first come, first serve basis
- Combined practice model with both MDA supervised and independently run cases
- Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing and nurse anesthesia
- Must hold current state license and NBCRNA certification (or awaiting initial certification)
- BCLS certification required; ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire
