Facility: This facility is a respected healthcare provider serving the Virginia community and surrounding areas. The surgical department features a combined practice model with both supervised and independent case management. The facility offers a variety of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, podiatry, gynecology, ophthalmology, and ENT procedures in a collaborative healthcare environment. Opportunity: CRNA - Nurse Anesthetist Job Details:
  • Performs clinical anesthesia duties with direct patient care responsibilities
  • Prioritizes anesthetic decisions and administers agents following established protocols
  • Communicates patient status effectively to healthcare team members
  • Performs coordinating duties by facilitating staff coverage, assignments, and breaks
  • Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles across the life span
  • Assesses patient data and interprets information relative to age-specific needs
  • Demonstrates leadership through committee involvement and team projects
  • Participates in education, research, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Ensures patients and families are partners in the anesthesia care plan
  • Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • 8 hours paid each shift
  • No call requirements
  • Casual position with shifts available on a first come, first serve basis
  • Combined practice model with both MDA supervised and independently run cases
  • Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing and nurse anesthesia
  • Must hold current state license and NBCRNA certification (or awaiting initial certification)
  • BCLS certification required; ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire
