ANESTHESIA NEEDS: Standard CAA shifts are 7:00 AM–7:00 PM (12 hours).
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Call participation required
In-house call coverage required
Weekend beeper call required
Scheduling based on departmental needs and availability of supervising anesthesiologists
Call volume and intensity vary depending on emergency case activity and hospital needs
SITE DETAILS:
Lawnwood is a busy Level II Trauma Center consisting of 497 beds, with emergency surgical, obstetric, and high-acuity services. Call activity may include emergency general surgery, trauma, urgent obstetric procedures, and other emergent operative cases.
Case mix includes:
General surgery
Orthopedic surgery
Neurosurgery and spine
Vascular surgery
Cardiac surgery
Trauma and emergency surgery
Obstetrics, including labor epidurals and spinal anesthesia
Healthy pediatric surgical patients
Gynecology
Urology
ENT
Gastrointestinal/endoscopy procedures
Interventional radiology and neurointerventional procedures
Meditech Expanse — Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Medaxion — Anesthesia workflow/documentation
QGenda — Scheduling and timecard application
Daily patient Volume varies depending on hospital occupancy with approximately 30–50 anesthesia cases per day.
QUALIFICATIONS:
CV/Resume
ACLS, BLS, PALS
Board Certification
Competitive Pay
