Facility: Fort Pierce, Florida
Position: FULL TIME Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) — Locum Tenens
This is a busy Level II Trauma Center consisting of 497 beds, with emergency surgical, obstetric, and high-acuity services. Call activity may include emergency general surgery, trauma, urgent obstetric procedures, and other emergent operative cases.
Coverage requirements include: FULL TIME
- Standard shift: 12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Call participation required
- In-house call coverage required
- Weekend beeper call required
Scheduling based on departmental needs and availability of supervising anesthesiologists
Candidates should be comfortable with:
- General anesthesia and advanced airway management
- Labor epidurals and spinal anesthesia
- Anesthesia for healthy pediatric patients
- Invasive hemodynamic monitoring
- High-acuity and emergency surgical procedures
- Functioning effectively within a physician-led anesthesia care team
- Flexible scheduling, including 12-hour shifts, weekends, holidays, and call responsibilities
Case mix includes:
- General surgery
- Orthopedic surgery
- Neurosurgery and spine
- Vascular surgery
- Cardiac surgery
- Trauma and emergency surgery
- Obstetrics, including labor epidurals and spinal anesthesia
- Healthy pediatric surgical patients
- Gynecology
- Urology
- ENT
- Gastrointestinal/endoscopy procedures
- Interventional radiology and neurointerventional procedures
