Job description
We are seeking a qualified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a 13 week locum assignment in Ketchikan, AK. This is a hospital based opportunity providing anesthesia services for a broad range of adult & pediatric cases in a collaborative critical access setting.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform preoperative assessments & develop anesthesia plans
• Provide anesthesia for general surgery, endoscopy, orthopedics & urology
• Support ENT, gynecology & C section procedures
• Provide pediatric anesthesia for dental, ENT & orthopedic cases
• Perform peripheral nerve blocks
• Provide labor epidural anesthesia
• Manage admissions related to anesthesia services
• Respond to anesthesia emergencies
• Provide evening & weekend call coverage
• Maintain accurate patient records in Epic
Qualifications
• NBCRNA certification required
• Active Alaska CRNA license required
• BLS required
• NRP required
• PALS required
• ATLS required
• ACLS required
• Epic proficiency required
• SCLS required
• Clinical case logs from the last 24 months required
Working Hours
• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Evening & weekend call required
• Current call schedule is approximately 2 on / 2 off, depending on provider availability
• Day, night & weekend coverage
