Company History
In 1993, we became Shasta Community Health Center. We later opened rural clinics in Anderson, Happy Valley, and Shasta Lake. In 2001, with support from the McConnell Foundation and The California Endowment, we moved our Redding clinic to a larger facility. By 2015, we expanded again, adding urgent care, educational spaces, and centralized services.
Over the next few years we launched programs like Healthcare for the unsheltered (HOPE), Primary Care Neuropsychiatry, Integrated Behavioral Health, Patient Education, and Intensive Case Management. We added telemedicine and training programs, including Family Medicine Residency and the Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant Post Graduate Fellowship. Partnerships with UC Davis, UCSF, and Shasta College help train local healthcare professionals. Within recent years, we have expanded our services to cover maternity care, vision services, a medical respite center, and the management of healthcare services at the Shasta County Juvenile Rehabilitation Facility.
Recent milestones include the 2024 openings of the Women’s, Babies’ & Children’s Center and the Enterprise Family Health & Dental Center. Looking ahead, our goal is to launch a Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) at a newly built facility, continuing our commitment to expanding access and serving the community.
