The Jamestown Family Health Clinic (JFHC) operates a nationally recognized model of care dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare. Owned and operated by the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe, JFHC is a Tribal Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving both Tribal citizens and non-Tribal community members. We provide care to over 18,000 patients with satisfaction scores that consistently exceed national benchmarks.

Rooted in the belief that community wellness is deeply connected to environmental health, JFHC offers a care experience built on relationships, collaboration, and long-term sustainability. As the largest family practice clinic on the Olympic Peninsula, we offer a team-based environment that supports both patients and providers alike.

Company History

In 1995, Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe became a leader in Tribal health innovation by creating the first insurance-based health program for Tribal Citizens, providing year-round, unrestricted access to care. As the Tribe worked through challenges with external clinics and insurance acceptance, it became clear that the best way to fully support Citizens was to establish its own Tribal primary care clinic.

A community crisis in 2001 accelerated this vision: when the Sequim Virginia Mason Clinic announced its closure, local residents feared a loss of essential primary care services. The Tribe stepped forward as a stabilizing force, partnering with Dr. Mike Crim and his team to establish a new community-centered clinic.

In April 2002, the Tribe opened the Jamestown Family Health Clinic, ensuring continued access to high-quality, local health care for both Tribal Citizens and the broader community. Demand grew rapidly, leading to the construction of a Tribal-owned facility and a move to the current location in 2010—where the clinic expanded far faster than anticipated.

Through innovation, leadership, and a commitment to community well-being, the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe filled a critical health care gap and strengthened access to primary care for the entire region.
