Company History
American Medical Group, formerly known as Emerald Coast Infectious Diseases (ECID), has a long-standing tradition of excellence in patient care along Florida’s Emerald Coast.
The journey began in 2005, when Dr. Patrick Anastasio, DO opened his private Infectious Diseases practice in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. At the time, he was the only Infectious Diseases specialist in the area, laying the foundation for a practice built on dedication, expertise, and community trust.
Over the years, ECID grew into a thriving multi-specialty clinic, expanding its team to include specialties such as Podiatry, Rheumatology, Allergy & Immunology, Gastroenterology, and Infectious Diseases.
With six locations across the Florida Panhandle, the group became known for delivering comprehensive, high-quality care.
In 2024, ECID officially became American Medical Group, reflecting its evolution into a full-spectrum multi-specialty medical practice. This transition marked a new chapter in the organization’s commitment to expanding services and raising the standard of healthcare for the communities it serves.
