Company Information

Southern Pediatrics is a new and innovative healthcare company seeking to transform the way primary pediatric care is provided. We believe that while we have made strides in the last decade to improve the quality of internal medicine for adults, we need to focus on the foundation of quality primary care, children. Today, pediatric medicine is not working well for many patients and pediatricians alike: nearly 30% of children face barriers to accessing essential care and while one in five children suffer from a major depressive disorder less than half of those kids receive mental health care. At the same time, 61% of pediatricians report some level of burnout, which is higher than almost any other specialty. We need to do better.

Our mission is to provide all kids all the care they deserve. We aim to focus on our local communities throughout the Southeast, and particularly those underserved communities often in rural areas. To provide not only more access to care but also better care, Southern Pediatrics will offer an integrated pediatric care approach that will include employing pediatricians, behavioral health specialists, mental health providers, and other healthcare professionals to form a more comprehensive care model for children. We believe this type of value-based care model improves a patient’s immediate care but also can transform their long-term health. At Southern Pediatrics, we believe we cannot achieve our mission if we are not supporting and empowering our physicians and clinical team. It is therefore critical for us to build a collaborative culture focused on operational excellence which allows our providers to focus on patient care
