Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens

A solo hospital site near the South Carolina coast is looking for general diagnostic coverage starting 4/17/17 week and then ongoing almost every week until 8/14/17. The radiologist must be ABR board certified, MQSA certified, and perform light interventional procedures. The schedule is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, no call, and no weekends. The average day is reading 90-100 diagnostic studies consisting of 45 plain films, 10 mammograms, 5 MR, 24 cat scans, 9 ultrasounds, and 5 flouro. In addition, the radiologist will perform an average of 4 light procedures per day consisting of paracentesis, thoracentesis, and biopsies.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
