Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
Hospital based radiology group in South Dakota is in need of a diagnostic radiologist for ongoing coverage starting mid-April 2017. This will be a 8am to 5pm position with no call, no weekends, and no interventional procedures. The average volume is 60-80 studies per day consisting of 35 plain film, 7 MR, 7 cat scan, 10 ultrasounds, 3 nuclear medicine and 20 Mammograms. The site does use Hologic Tomo. Mammography is not required, but is preferred. The coverage will be every week ongoing until a hire is made. The PACS is GE Centricity or Universal Viewer and Voice recognition is Powerscribe 360.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
