Job description
Our dynamic and growing multispecialty practice is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible physician with expertise in wound care to join our team. This is a in-patient and, outpatient position with a focus on chronic wounds, diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, surgical wounds, and limb preservation. You’ll collaborate with specialists in podiatry, vascular surgery, infectious disease medicine, and endocrinology in a highly supportive, integrated clinical environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose patients with acute and chronic wounds, developing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide wound care management, including debridement, dressing changes, and the application of advanced wound care technologies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring holistic treatment approaches.
• Educate patients and their families about wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and overall health management.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance wound care practices within the facility.
• Stay current with advancements in wound care treatments and technologies through continuous education.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification/eligible in a relevant specialty (Family Med, IM, Surgery).

Working Hours

Monday through Friday
Call rotation for hospitals

Skills

• Prior wound care experience required (CWSP a plus).
• Strong knowledge of related fields such as Neuroradiology, Ophthalmology, Ob/Gyn, and Dementia Care is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively triage patient needs.
• Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care.
• Passionate about wound healing, patient-centered care, and interdisciplinary collaboration
