We are currently seeking a qualified Locum Physician to provide expert wound management services at a reputable outpatient facility in Batavia, Ohio. This role offers an excellent chance to contribute your skills while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic healthcare environment. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes and foster healing for individuals with complex wounds.
Required Skills:
- Board-certified or eligible in qualified medical specialties (e.g., General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Wound Care)
- Proven experience in wound assessment and management, including treatment of vascular, pressure, diabetic, and traumatic wounds
- Strong knowledge of wound care procedures and therapies such as debridement, skin grafting, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy
- Ability to educate patients and support systems on wound prevention and care techniques
- Excellent documentation skills and familiarity with EMR systems, especially Epic
- Compassionate patient communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with hyperbaric oxygen therapy supervision
- Skill in managing complex or non-healing surgical wounds
- Additional certifications in wound care or hyperbaric medicine
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Active medical license in Ohio
- Prior locum or outpatient clinic experience preferred, with ability to work independently for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) andAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Ability to work covering a period between 12/22/2025 and 3/31/2026
- Willingness to travel and support facility reimbursements for travel and housing expenses
- Temporary privileging may be available
