We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Physician specializing in Wound Care to provide vital outpatient services at our reputable healthcare facility. Required Skills:
- Proven expertise in wound care treatment and management, including vascular, pressure, and diabetic ulcers
- Proficiency in treating various wound types such as traumatic, surgical, and chronic wounds
- Experience with wound debridement, skin grafting, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and advanced dressing techniques
- Ability to educate patients and their support systems on wound prevention and care
- Competence in using Epic EMR system
- Certification in wound care or related specialty preferred
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience supervising hyperbaric oxygen treatments
- Knowledge of advanced wound closure methods and negative pressure-assisted therapies
- Prior outpatient clinic experience
- Bilingual abilities to assist diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in wound care, plastic surgery, vascular medicine, or related specialties
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in wound care
Other Requirements:
- Temporary privileging approval, with potential for ongoing assignments
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift from 08:00 to 16:30
- Willingness to travel expenses covered, including flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage at IRS rates
- Start date scheduled for December 8, 2025, with coverage through March 31, 2026
