Locum Wound Care Physician – Ohio

We are seeking Locum Wound Care coverage at an outpatient clinic in Batavia, Ohio, to support physician gap coverage between permanent hires.

Job Details

• Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic

• Location: Batavia, OH

• Reason for Coverage: Physician gap coverage

• Dates of Coverage: 12/22/2025 – 3/31/2026

• Patient Volume: 15–30 patients per day

• EMR: Epic

• Trauma Level: Not designated

Required Duties

• Treating and managing skin reactions, vascular ulcers, pressure ulcers, and diabetic ulcers

• Preventing skin breakdown and initiating preventative measures

• Comprehensive wound management and topical therapy application

• Patient and caregiver education on wound care techniques and ulcer prevention

• Assessment and treatment of draining wounds and fistulae

• Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) supervision

• Proper wound dressing instruction and post-treatment follow-up

Types of Wounds Treated

• Acute wounds (inflammatory, proliferative, and remodeling phases)

• Surgical and non-healing surgical wounds

• Traumatic wounds (cuts, punctures, burns, tears)

• Ulcers (arterial, venous, pressure, diabetic)

• Chronic venous insufficiency

• Pilonidal cysts, gangrene, radiation injuries, burns

Treatments Used

• Bioengineered skin

• Debridement

• Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

• Incision & drainage

• Negative pressure wound therapy

• Post-surgical incision management

• Skin grafting

• Unna boot

• Total contact casting

Credentialing

• Temporary privileging potential

• Estimated credentialing timeframe available upon request

Submission Requirements

• Active Ohio medical license – REQUIRED

• BLS – REQUIRED

• ACLS – Preferred for HBOT
