Northern MAINE

Excellent opportunity for BC/BE Urologist who wants to slow down and enjoy life, but still wants to keep their “iron in the fire”! This is a hospital employed part-time position. It is bread and butter urology, with one day a week in the OR. Usually 12 to 16 patients are seen in the clinic per week. The previous physician travelled to this location from out of state and was in residence 2 weeks a month, (a total of 24 weeks a year). He has now since retired. A modern surgical suite is on site, and the practice is supported by an experienced LPN, and CMA.

. This city is located in the Northern part of the state in a family oriented community of 10,000 people. You are 90 minutes to Bangor Maine and 2 hours to Portland Maine and less than 1 hour to Presque Isle where the airport and medical school are located. The hospital is a small critical access hospital.

There are 28 skilled nursing/nursing home beds on the hospital campus. The hospital serves a population of 20,000 people. Services are typical of a rural community hospital and include a 24 hour physician covered ER.

The hospital serves a population of 18,000 people. The beautiful downtown of this quaint city provides shopping and year long activities for the community! Year round outdoor activities make this part of Maine part of an active lifestyle! Several health clubs in the local area provide the populace the ability to get fit around the clock throughout the year as well! There is year round ice skating in the city as well. In the winter, snowmobiling is a major activity for the populace.
