Clinical Role RecruitWell is seeking a Neurohospitalist for locums coverage in San Antonio, Texas. This hospital-based opportunity consists of weekend 24-hour in-house call coverage and requires the physician to independently interpret EEGs. Lumbar puncture support is available through the Interventional Radiology team.

Assignment Details

• Start: ASAP

• Coverage through December 2026

• Weekend coverage

• Saturday–Monday

• 24-hour shifts

• In-house call

• Assigned and unassigned patients

• Approximately 8–15 patients per day

• 10+ phone consultations

Position Highlights

• Interventional Radiology support for lumbar punctures

• Provider must be able to independently interpret EEGs

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage hospitalized Neurology patients

• Provide coverage for assigned and unassigned patients

• Respond to in-house Neurology consultations

• Provide phone consultations as needed

• Independently interpret EEG studies

• Manage neurologic conditions requiring hospital-based consultation and treatment

Procedures & Skills

• EEG interpretation required

• Lumbar punctures may be handled by the Interventional Radiology team

Support & Technology

• Interventional Radiology support available for lumbar punctures

• Stroke Certified hospital

• EMR: Cerner

Requirements

• Active Texas medical license required

• ABLS required

• ACLS required

• BLS required

• Must be proficient in independent EEG interpretation

• Hospital-based Neurology service

• In-house weekend call coverage

• Stroke Certified facility
