Opportunity Overview
- General Urology physician needed for hospital-based coverage
- Adult patient population, with rare pediatric emergency coverage during call
- Approximately 24-28 patients per day
- EPIC EMR
- Robotic surgery available
- 16 operating rooms across the hospital and surgery center
- NP/PA supervision required
Schedule & Coverage
- Hospital-based practice
- Mix of office visits and cystoscopy/stent procedures
- 24-hour call coverage may include occasional urgent pediatric cases
- Call coverage includes 2 hours of gratis time
Clinical Details
- General Urology
- Office visits and surgical procedures
- Robotic surgery available if within the physician's scope
- Core procedures include:
- Vasectomy
- Cystoscopy
- Prostate procedures
- Ureteroscopy
- Lithotripsy
- Orchiopexy
- Vasectomy reversal is preferred but not required
- Penile plication and penile implants may be performed as part of the physician's practice
- Circumcision is generally managed by OB/Pediatrics, with occasional support potentially needed during call
- Cystoscopes, towers, and injection equipment available
Requirements
- MD/DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
- Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC Letter of Qualification required
- DEA required
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Temporary privileges may be available for providers with a clean file
- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days
