Locums – Portsmouth, Ohio, Urology Opening (IMLC Accepted)

Clinical Role

• November 2, 2026 start
• Ongoing locums need
• Multiple providers accepted
• Office and hospital-based Urology coverage
• Approximately 15-20 office patients per day
• Approximately 4-8 hospital procedures per day
• Admissions required
• Assigned and unassigned patients

Schedule & Call

• Office hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm
• 3-4 half-day clinics
• 30-minute call response time required

Practice Setting & Support

• 2 procedure rooms, 1 UDS room, and 6 exam rooms
• 2 Nurse Practitioners
• 3 Medical Office Assistants
• 6 clinical staff members
• Surgery scheduler
• UDS technician
• Meditech EMR

In-Office Procedures

• Vasectomy
• Prostate biopsy and ultrasound
• Cystoscopy with stent removal
• Procedure volume varies by day

Hospital Procedures

• Abdominal sacrocolpopexy
• Aquablation
• Circumcision and hydrocelectomy
• Cryoablation of the prostate/kidney
• Cystoscopy
• Cystocele and rectocele repair
• GreenLight laser prostate procedures
• HIFU
• Hernia repair
• InterStim Stage I & II
• Mid-urethral sling
• Optilume
• Orchiectomy
• PCNL/percutaneous nephrolithotomy
• Penile plication and prosthesis
• Percutaneous nerve evaluation
• Prostate biopsy
• Radical/partial nephrectomy
• SpaceOAR/fiducial placement
• Spermatocelectomy
• Suprapubic catheter insertion
• TURP
• Ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy
• Urethral bulking
• UroLift
• Vasectomy

Equipment

• UDS equipment
• Rigid, flexible, and disposable cystoscopes
• Cystoscopy monitors
• Bovie
• Ultrasound machine with vaginal/rectal probe
• Trophon

Requirements & Credentialing

• Board Certified in Urology required
• Active Ohio license required; IMLC accepted
• ACLS and BLS required
