• Position: Neurologist / Neurology Physician, Locum Tenens
• Location: Altoona, PA 16601
• Setting: Outpatient neurology clinic
• Schedule: Weekday daylight clinic hours; choose either 4 ten-hour days (Monday-Thursday) or 5 eight-hour days (Monday-Friday)
• Coverage Need: Full-time coverage for approximately 3 months
• Assignment Length: Approximately 14 weeks / 95 days
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $7,870 - $8,430
• Start Date: 11/2/2026
• End Date: 2/5/2027
• Availability Needed: Minimum of 2 weeks per month
• Call: None

Job Requirements

• Board-eligible or board-certified in Neurology
• MD or DO degree
• At least 1 year of experience in general neurology or outpatient neurology practice
• Ability to manage a full outpatient clinic schedule with new and established patients
• Comfortable working weekday office hours in an ambulatory care setting
• Must be able to cover at least 2 weeks per month

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient neurology care for general neurology conditions
• See approximately 15 patients per 8-hour clinic day, or 19-24 patients per 10-hour clinic day
• Manage a mix of new and established patients, with a primary focus on return visits
• Handle medication refills and respond to patient questions through clinic support workflows
• Collaborate with support staff and APPs, who maintain their own independent schedule
• Deliver high-quality, efficient care in a busy, patient-centered outpatient clinic
