The ideal candidate will have strong experience in General Urology, excellent clinical and surgical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. The physician will evaluate and treat a broad range of urologic conditions and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Job Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive urologic care to adult patients in both outpatient and hospital settings.
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of urological conditions.
Perform appropriate urologic surgical procedures based on patient needs and clinical expertise.
Manage common conditions including kidney stones, BPH, urinary obstruction, UTIs, incontinence, and other urinary tract disorders.
Provide evaluation and treatment for male reproductive and sexual health conditions.
Diagnose and manage urologic cancers, when applicable to the physician's scope of practice.
Perform minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures as appropriate.
Provide preoperative and postoperative patient management.
Manage inpatient consultations, hospital admissions, and urologic emergencies.
Participate in hospital call coverage and provide timely consultation for urgent urologic cases.
Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, APPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, and preventive care.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation and EMR records.
Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical initiatives.
Maintain appropriate hospital privileges, licensure, credentialing, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited Urology residency program.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology.
American Board of Urology (ABU) certification/eligibility preferred.
Minimum 5 years of Urology experience preferred.
Strong General Urology and surgical experience.
Experience with minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and/or robotic procedures preferred.
Current U.S. medical license or eligibility to obtain Louisiana medical licensure.
Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-care skills.
Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Willingness to participate in hospital call coverage.

Working Hours

Full-time, Monday–Friday; approximately 35–40 patients/day, with rotating ER call about 1 week per month.
