Practice Setting: Hospital/Inpatient
Schedule:
- December 23–27, 2026
- 8:00 AM–8:00 AM, 24-hour call
- Average callback: 2–6 hours/day
Support Staff: 2 permanent physicians, 1 PA, and assigned MAs
Board Certification: BC/BE in Urology
License: Arizona license or IMLC/LOQ
DEA: Required
Experience: Minimum 1 year
Patient Volume: Approximately 20 clinic patients/day when clinic coverage is required
Position Overview:
An established hospital-based urology service in Cottonwood, Arizona is seeking a Locum Tenens Urologist for 24-hour call coverage. The physician will provide hospital-based urologic care, surgical coverage, and emergency consultations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour urology call coverage
- Evaluate and manage urgent urologic cases
- Perform surgical procedures
- Manage inpatient consultations and admissions
- Collaborate with the existing urology team
Required Skills:
- General Urology
- Ureteroscopy
- Laser lithotripsy
- TURP
- TURBT
- Flexible cystoscopy
Preferred Skills:
- TRUS biopsy
- In-clinic vasectomy
Additional Notes:
- Robotics is available but not required.
- Approximately 3–4 OR cases per week.
- Disposable flexible cystoscopes are available.
- Phone interview required.
- Travel and lodging support available.
- COVID-19 and flu vaccination required; exemptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
