🌟 Opportunity Overview

A leading healthcare system in York, Pennsylvania is seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urology Physicians for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity.

This position offers a diverse mix of outpatient clinic, OR, and 24-hour call coverage, with experienced clinical support staff and access to a broad range of urologic procedures.

Robotic surgery is available for physicians who incorporate it into their practice, though it is not required.

📅 Schedule & Coverage

• Monday–Friday clinic schedule
• 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 1-hour lunch when working clinic
• Full-week coverage available on an ongoing basis
• OR and clinic responsibilities
• 24-hour call coverage
• Example call blocks:
  • Nov. 16, 7:00 AM – Nov. 23, 7:00 AM
  • Nov. 30, 7:00 AM – Dec. 4, 7:00 PM
  • Dec. 24, 7:00 AM – Dec. 25, 7:00 AM
    

🏥 Clinical Practice

• Adult patient population, with rare pediatric emergency torsion cases
• Approximately 24–28 patients/day in clinic
• Mix of office visits and cystoscopy/stent procedures
• 16 total ORs across York Hospital and Apple Hill Surgery
• Epic EMR
• Robotic surgery available
• Opportunity to supervise new NPs/PAs

Core Procedures

Experience with the following is expected as applicable to the physician's practice:

• Vasectomy – required
• Cystoscopy – required
• Prostate procedures
• Ureteroscopy
• Lithotripsy
• Orchiopexy
• Penile plication
• Circumcision in rare situations
• Vasectomy reversal – preferred, not mandatory
• Penile implants – rare

👥 Support Staff

Clinic support includes:

• 4 Medical Assistants
• 1 Clinical Support Assistant
• 1 RN
• Cystoscopy equipment and towers
• Injection capabilities

✅ Requirements

• MD/DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC Letter of Qualification required
• DEA required
• Clean credentialing file preferred
• Temporary privileges may be available for qualified candidates with a clean file
• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days
