Job description
We are seeking a Urologist for a locum tenens position in DuBois, Pennsylvania. This is an ongoing 24-hour call coverage opportunity at an acute care hospital that serves as the hub facility for surrounding system sites. Please see below for more information.
- Acute care hospital
- Level II trauma center
- Cerner (inpatient) and GE Centricity (outpatient) EMR
Job Responsibilities
Round on inpatients in the morning and perform emergency surgery as needed
Perform cystoscopy and/or stent placement for hematuria
Manage kidney stones, including possible extraction or holmium laser lithotripsy
Evaluate and manage testicular torsion (rare occurrence)
Manage UTI presentations
Consult with the ED and other providers for Foley catheter placement
Round on patients admitted in house following any procedure performed
Treat an adult patient population (18+)
Qualifications
Pennsylvania state license required; IMLC accepted
DEA required
ACLS required
BLS required
Working Hours
Weekend call coverage runs from Thursday at 4:00 p.m. through Monday at 7:00 a.m.
