Are you a Urology physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in New Mexico might be the perfect fit for you!
Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: Start Date: September 21, 2026 | Ongoing | Monday-Friday hybrid coverage (½ day clinic or elective OR + inpatient); Saturday-Sunday inpatient coverage only. Possible open dates: Sept 21-Oct 1, Oct 5-Oct 12, Nov 9-Nov 16, Nov 23-Nov 30, and into 2027.
- Job Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient
- Types of Cases: General Urology (Adult required; Pediatric preferred); Advanced endoscopic techniques; Laparoscopic surgeries; Percutaneous nephrolithotomy; Ureteroscopy; Radical cystectomy w/ileo-loop conduit; Radical prostatectomy; Nephrectomy; Prostatectomy; Pelvic node dissection; Robotic surgery (including partial nephrectomies/intraoperative ultrasound); Adrenalectomy; Renal and bladder ultrasound w/biopsy; TRUS biopsies; Fertility work-up; Incontinence procedures; Penile prosthesis; ESWL. Active consults for rounding. Phone consults: 5-10 per day. Support staff includes local urologists available via phone, nursing staff, urology tech, and hospitalists.
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call (Beeper call; 20-minute response time required)
- Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days. Temporary privileges not available. Hospital/surgery center privileges required.
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible required
- Certifications: ACLS required; BLS required
- Licensure: New Mexico state license required
- Fellowship: Required (2 years)
