Position: Urology – Physician (Locum Tenens, Clinical Hours + Call)
Location: Las Cruces, NM 88011
Start Date: 09/21/2026 — ongoing coverage need
Setting: Both inpatient and outpatient, hybrid schedule
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday: hybrid coverage — either a half-day clinic (10am–12pm, lunch, 1pm–3pm) or elective OR + inpatient coverage
- Saturday–Sunday: inpatient coverage only (active consults, rounding)
- Call: beeper call, 20-minute response time, phone consults typical up to 5–10/day
- No admissions required — managed by hospitalists
Requirements:
- Board Certified & Board Eligible
- ACLS and BLS required
- Any state license
- Supervision of a Medical Assistant (support staff: 1 MA, 2 office staff)
- Advanced/subspecialty urologic procedures (robotic, laparoscopic, endoscopic, etc.) are preferred but not required — general adult urology is the core need
Facility details:
- Trauma Level 4, Stroke Certified
- EMR: Athena (clinic) / MEDHOST (hospital)
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days
Available start dates: Sept 21, Oct 1, Oct 5, Oct 12, Nov 9, Nov 16, Nov 23, Nov 30 — 2027 dates also open.
Given the 60-day credentialing window, earlier submissions have the best shot at the September/October dates.
