Job description
We are seeking a Urology physician for a locum tenens position in Potsdam, NY. This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive urology services at a Level III trauma center, with a mix of outpatient clinic, operative procedures, consultations, and post-operative management. The facility utilizes Epic EMR. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform urologic surgical procedures in the operating room
• Manage urology inpatient consultations
• Provide post-operative patient follow-up and rounding
• Deliver urology consultations as needed
Qualifications
• State Medical License: New York (in hand required)
• DEA Registration
• BLS Certification
• Epic EMR proficiency (required)
Working Hours
• Office clinic: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (approximately 20 patients per day)
• Operating room: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM (no case limit)
• Inpatient consultations and post-operative rounding as needed
• Optional 24-hour on-call coverage available (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM), based on physician availability
