Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a full-time Locum Urologist to provide coverage in Potsdam, New York due to current staffing gaps.

This role offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic, procedures, inpatient consults, and rounding, making it ideal for physicians who enjoy variety in their practice.

Schedule & Coverage

📅 Monday – Friday
⏰ 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📆 Assignment Length: ~26 weeks
📞 Call: Optional & flexible
✔️ 24-hour call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM) based on provider availability

Key Responsibilities

🧠 Diagnose and treat a variety of urological conditions
🏥 Provide outpatient clinic care (~20 patients/day)
🔬 Perform procedures and surgeries (bread & butter cases)
📊 Conduct inpatient consults and post-op rounding as needed
🤝 Collaborate with clinical and surgical teams
📝 Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR

Clinical Environment

🏥 Acute care hospital (Level III Trauma Center)
🛏️ Outpatient-focused with inpatient responsibilities
👨‍⚕️ Current staffing: 1 full-time provider (high demand)
👥 Support team: LPNs, CMAs, and patient representative
🛠️ OR block time available (7:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
📍 Adult patients only (18+)

Required Qualifications

🎓 MD/DO degree
🏅 Board Certified in Urology
📜 Active New York medical license (required)
💻 Experience with Epic EMR
❤️ BLS certification
🧠 Strong clinical and procedural experience
