Join Our Team as a Urology Physician – Make a Difference in Patient Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Urology Physician to join our esteemed medical team. This critical role offers the opportunity to provide specialized urological care within a dynamic, Level 4 Trauma hospital setting. What You'll Do:
  • Provide comprehensive urological services and support patient needs for adults 18+.
  • Manage a varied caseload, including consultation and emergency procedures such as stents, stones, and clot evacuation.
  • Serve in a call coverage capacity, with a schedule from Friday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM, including 24-hour shifts.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to deliver high-quality care in a Level 4 trauma environment.
  • Utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient management.
  • Perform all general urology procedures required by the department.

Required Skills:
  • Board-certified in Urology.
  • Valid state medical license (IMLC or eligible for WV temporary license).
  • DEA certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in urology.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Strong clinical skills with proficiency in general urology procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Additional certifications or training in advanced urological procedures.
  • Experience working in trauma or emergency settings.
  • Proficiency with hospital-based EMR systems other than Cerner.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proven track record of at least 2 years in a hospital or trauma setting.

Other Requirements:
  • Available to start on May 15, 2026.
  • Willing to obtain licensing in West Virginia if necessary.
  • Credentialing timeframe approximately 60 days.
  • Ability to work 24-hour shifts and manage on-call responsibilities.
  • Must be able to support flexible scheduling and handle variable patient volumes.
