Locum Urologist Opportunity – Silverdale, WA
Seeking a bread-and-butter Urologist to provide clinic and call coverage for a 3–6-month locum assignment, with the possibility of ongoing coverage. The provider will work in a busy, fast-paced department as the sole urology provider, managing a mix of outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, and operative cases.
Position Highlights

Setting: Clinic, hospital rounding, OR, and call

Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Call: Night call (5:00 PM – 8:00 AM) and occasional 24-hour call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM), approximately 1:6 rotation

Minimum Commitment: 3 months

Patient Volume: ~20–25 patients per clinic day
-
Surgical Volume: ~20–30 cases per month
-
Coverage Needs: Providers should be able to cover ~80% of posted dates and participate in weekend call before or after clinic week
Clinical Responsibilities

General urology clinic visits, hospital rounding, and call coverage

Mix of new consults and ED callbacks while on call

Bread-and-butter urologic procedures including:
-
Cystoscopy
-
Vasectomies
-
Prostate biopsy
-
TURP
-
Uroflow/cuff testing and bladder scans
-
Ureteroscopy
-
Nephrectomy
-
Cystectomy
-
ESWL
-
Botox injections
-
-
Robotic system available onsite but robotic procedures are not required
Practice Environment

EMR: Epic
-
Support Staff: 2 RNs, Medical Assistant, surgery scheduler, and front office staff

Admissions: Managed by hospitalist team

Rounding: Performed by the locum provider

Call Mix: ~20% new consults, ~80% ED callbacks from established patients
Requirements
-
Board Certified in Urology (preferred) or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency)

Active Washington license preferred (IMLC LOQ accepted at submission; non-licensed candidates considered but must obtain WA license before start)

BLS, ACLS, and DEA required (ACLS/BLS can be obtained if selected)

Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Clean malpractice history strongly preferred
