Job description
A hospital system in Massachusetts is seeking a board-certified Urologist for locum tenens call coverage due to increased patient volume. This assignment supports inpatient urology services with in-house call responsibilities.
The provider will manage inpatient consults, emergency urologic cases, and surgical coverage as needed. Physicians will work alongside an established care team that includes nursing support, APPs, and surgical staff.
This opportunity is ideal for urologists comfortable with general urology procedures, surgical coverage, and inpatient consult management in a hospital environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate inpatient consults and emergency cases
• Perform urologic procedures and surgical interventions as needed
• Collaborate with hospital care teams and surgical staff
• Document encounters within hospital EMR system
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Urology
• Active Massachusetts medical license required
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Fellowship training preferred
Working Hours
• End Date: September 1, 2026
• Coverage Type: Call Only
• Call Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-hour coverage)
• Providers may be scheduled on weekdays depending on availability
