UROLOGIST LOCUMS - CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA

Assignment Overview

• Specialty: Urology (MD/DO)

• Start Date: June 22, 2026

• Estimated Shifts: Approximately 5 per month

• Schedule: Monday 8:00 AM – Friday 5:00 PM

• Coverage Model: Clinic + 24/7 Call during assigned week

• EMR: Epic

Required Initial Coverage Dates

Candidates must be able to cover both of the following weeks:

• June 22 – June 26 (7A–7A call coverage)

• July 6 – July 12 (7A–7A call coverage)

After these initial stretches, the need transitions to 1 week per month ongoing.

Practice Environment

• Provider will not work solo

• APPs available during the day to:

  • Round on patients

  • Handle inpatient consults

• Locum physician supports clinic during the day and provides MD-level coverage while on call

Other specialties available on site include:

• Surgery

• GI

• Pediatrics

• Neurology

• OB/GYN

• Orthopedics

• Trauma (Level III)

Clinical Expectations

• Clinic Volume: ~15–25 patients per day (varies)

• Call Volume: ~1–4 calls per night

• Response Time: 30 minutes

• Average Admissions While On Call: 0

Daily schedule includes:

• Light outpatient clinic schedule

• 24/7 call coverage during the assigned week

• Collaboration with hospital APPs and specialty teams

Requirements

• Board Certified Urology

• Active Pennsylvania License

• DEA

• ACLS

• Minimum 2 years of experience

• IMLC candidates may be considered

• Mileage (personal vehicle)

• Rental car & fuel

• Ground transportation
