Job Details

• Position Type: Locum tenens (contract/travel) – Neurologist / Neurology Physician
• Location: On-site in Richland, WA (99352) — Tri-Cities, Benton County, Washington
• Start Date: As soon as credentialed (May/June preferred)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour day shifts; please note: although the source data lists '12 Hour Any' for shift duration, the actual clinical schedule for this assignment is standard weekday 8-hour shifts. There are no 12-hour shifts required for this role.)
• Coverage: Minimum two weeks per month, up to full-time
• Patient Encounters: Approximately 15 per shift (outpatient neurology clinic)
• Estimated Weekly Hours: 36 (OT applies after 40 hours/week)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for extension

Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $6,030 - $6,460 per week (based on schedule and assignment specifics)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Board Certification in Neurology (required)
• Active and unrestricted medical license (ability to obtain Washington license preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience practicing as a Neurologist
• Experience with Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
• Proficient in EEG interpretation and able to perform brain death examinations
• Preferred experience: EMG, NCV, evoked potentials, and peripheral nerve blocks
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills (new patient = 40 min; follow-up = 20 min)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient neurology care to adult and/or pediatric patients as assigned
• Read, interpret, and report EEGs in a timely manner
• Conduct brain death examinations when required
• Manage new patient and follow-up appointments efficiently per clinic standards
• Collaborate with clinic staff, referring providers, and interdisciplinary teams
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation, orders, and care coordination
• Maintain high standards of patient care, professionalism, and compliance with policies
