Experienced Urology Locum Physician Needed in Paducah, KY for Immediate and Future Coverage

Join our distinguished healthcare team as a Locum - Physician - Urology in Paducah, KY, and play a vital role in delivering top-tier care in a hospital-based setting. This opportunity offers flexible weekends coverage starting February 14, 2026, with the potential for a permanent position, providing both professional growth and a competitive compensation package.

What You’ll Do:
  • Cover urological inpatient services, including consultations, rounding, and procedures.
  • Be on call for approximately 2-3 weekends per month (Thursday or Friday mornings through Monday mornings).
  • Perform essential urology procedures such as general urology, advanced endoscopic techniques, ureteroscopy, and laser surgeries. Experience with robotic procedures is a plus.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team that employs state-of-the-art technology, including three robotic surgery systems.

Required Skills:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Urology.
  • Active medical license in Kentucky.
  • Proven experience in general urology and advanced endoscopic procedures.
  • Ability to perform ureteroscopy and utilize laser technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a hospital environment.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Robotic surgery certification and experience.
  • Prior locum or hospital-based practice experience.
  • Ability to perform complex urological procedures.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in urology, including inpatient care.
  • Eligibility for temporary privileges and credentialing within 90 days.

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work weekends and on-call duties.
  • Basic surgical and procedural certifications.
  • Travel reimbursements available, including standard/economy bookings and lodging caps (~$150/night).
