Job Title: Full-Time Urologist

Location: Brattleboro, Vermont

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Urologist to join a well-established, collaborative urology practice at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive urologic care to adult and pediatric patients within a single-site setting, emphasizing a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of urological conditions, including kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), urinary incontinence, urinary tract infections, and other common disorders.
  • Perform surgical procedures utilizing modern operating rooms, including preoperative planning, surgical intervention, and postoperative follow-up.
  • Provide consultative services in hospital and emergency room settings, collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Work closely with an experienced urologist and nurse practitioner within a team-based environment.
  • Participate in a manageable call schedule, averaging approximately 7 days per month covering hospital needs.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote informed decision-making.
  • Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives to stay abreast of advances in urology and enhance patient care.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Urology.
  • Valid DEA license.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • No commute longer than 1 hour preferred.
  • Candidates must hold current U.S. medical licensure and be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Candidates needing visa sponsorship are not considered.
  • Candidates seeking locum or locum-to-perm positions are not eligible.
  • Candidates planning to work this position concurrently with other employment are not suitable.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $300,000 – $400,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and market standards.
