We are seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Urologist to join a well-established, collaborative urology practice at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive urologic care to adult and pediatric patients within a single-site setting, emphasizing a balanced professional and personal life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of urological conditions, including kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), urinary incontinence, urinary tract infections, and other common disorders.
- Perform surgical procedures utilizing modern operating rooms, including preoperative planning, surgical intervention, and postoperative follow-up.
- Provide consultative services in hospital and emergency room settings, collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Work closely with an experienced urologist and nurse practitioner within a team-based environment.
- Participate in a manageable call schedule, averaging approximately 7 days per month covering hospital needs.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote informed decision-making.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives to stay abreast of advances in urology and enhance patient care.
Candidate Requirements:
- Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Urology.
- Valid DEA license.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- No commute longer than 1 hour preferred.
- Candidates must hold current U.S. medical licensure and be eligible to work in the United States.
- Candidates needing visa sponsorship are not considered.
- Candidates seeking locum or locum-to-perm positions are not eligible.
- Candidates planning to work this position concurrently with other employment are not suitable.
Compensation and Benefits:
