Job Opportunity: General Urologist

Join a dedicated team at a community-focused hospital in Brattleboro, Vermont, where comprehensive care is provided to both adult and pediatric patients in a single-site urology practice. This full-time position offers a supportive work-life balance, working alongside an established urologist and nurse practitioner. Job Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of urologic conditions, including kidney stones, BPH, incontinence, and urinary tract infections.
  • Perform surgical procedures, including preoperative planning and postoperative follow-up, in state-of-the-art operating rooms.
  • Provide hospital and emergency room consultations, collaborating with other specialists to enhance patient care.
  • Work closely with a team in a single-site practice with an established urologist and nurse practitioner.
  • Participate in a light call schedule, covering the site approximately 7 days per month.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation adhering to hospital policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and continue professional development to stay updated on advancements in urology.

Qualifications:

  • Board certified or board eligible in Urology.
  • Completion of an accredited urology residency program in the United States or Canada.
  • Clean malpractice history.
  • Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within the last 30 days).

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Active Vermont License (to be obtained prior to start).
  • DEA certification.
