High-demand Urology locums opportunity in Stevens Point, Wisconsin offering an excellent mix of clinic, OR time, and system call rotation with an ASAP start and strong ongoing coverage needs. This is an ideal assignment for a Board Certified Urologist who wants consistent volume, full-scope general urology, and the ability to make a major impact supporting both inpatient and outpatient services. With a primary coverage need through April 2026 and intermittent coverage opportunities after, this is a strong long-term option for physicians seeking stability, strong earning potential, and a well-rounded schedule that includes both clinic and procedural time.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform urology procedures and surgical cases in the OR
• Participate in system call rotation coverage
• Manage inpatient consults, admissions, and assigned rounding
• Deliver full-scope general urology services across a broad patient population
• Collaborate with hospital staff, OR teams, and clinical leadership
• Support outreach coverage 1 to 2 days per month in Wisconsin Rapids as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and high-quality patient care standards
Qualifications
• Fellowship required
• BLS required
• Strong full-scope general urology experience required
• Must be comfortable with inpatient consults, admissions, and assigned rounding
• Advanced procedural skills including endoscopic and laparoscopic cases strongly preferred
• No license requirement listed to bid, open to qualified candidates
Working Hours
• Duration: Ongoing coverage with primary need through April 2026, intermittent coverage after
• Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call
• Full-time clinic coverage preferred: 36 hours per week with flexible schedule
• OR coverage strongly preferred: 2 to 3 OR days per week
• Call Requirement: 7 to 10 days of call per month including one weekend
• Potential outreach: 1 to 2 days per month to Wisconsin Rapids
Skills
• Strong surgical and procedural urology skillset
• Advanced endoscopic procedure experience strongly preferred
• Laparoscopic case experience strongly preferred
• Ability to manage inpatient consults and admissions efficiently
• Strong rounding and continuity of care management
• Comfort balancing clinic workflow with OR scheduling
• Strong communication skills with multidisciplinary hospital teams
• Ability to provide high-quality care in both outpatient and inpatient settings
