Join Our Team as a Neurology Specialist – Make a Difference in Patient Care

Are you a dedicated Neurology professional with experience treating Multiple Sclerosis? We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled provider to join our team in Richland, offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives. This locum position provides the flexibility of full-time engagement with competitive compensation, ensuring your expertise is valued and rewarded.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive neurological care, with a focus on Multiple Sclerosis treatment.
  • Prescribe Tysabri in accordance with the TOUCH Prescribing Program; certification required.
  • Conduct new patient evaluations within 40 minutes and follow-up appointments in 20 minutes, utilizing Epic EMR.
  • Read EEGs and interpret findings accurately.
  • Work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a flexible schedule up to full-time (minimum two weeks per month).
  • Participate in one week of call per month (Monday to Monday); call coverage is optional but appreciated.
  • Adhere to clinic workflows and ensure timely documentation and patient management.

Required Skills:
  • Proven experience in neurology, particularly in treating Multiple Sclerosis.
  • Certification in the TOUCH Prescribing Program for Tysabri.
  • Ability to read EEGs proficiently.
  • Familiarity with Epic electronic health records.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to conduct efficient patient appointments.
  • Excellent communication skills and patient-centered approach.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience providing locum or temporary assignments.
  • Additional certifications or training related to neuroimaging or specialized treatments.
  • Ability to take on occasional call if needed.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Neurology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical neurology experience, especially in MS management.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Other Requirements:
  • Must be willing to start April/May or as soon as credentialed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to maintaining professionalism and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Willingness to travel if required; reimbursement for licensure, travel, and certifications provided.
