Position Overview
Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urologist for a permanent, hospital-employed role in a community hospital setting. The position includes a mix of outpatient clinic, procedural work, and inpatient consults, with access to block OR time.
Clinical Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage general urologic conditions in the outpatient setting

Perform in-office urologic procedures

Provide inpatient consults and perioperative care

Perform operative urology cases appropriate for a community hospital setting

Collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Schedule & Workload (Community Hospital Average)

Monday–Friday schedule
-
4–5 clinic days per week
-
Block OR time available
-
Inpatient consults as needed
-
Call coverage: 1:3 to 1:4, primarily consult-based

Average clinic volume: 20–25 patients per day, depending on procedure mix
Compensation & Benefits (Market-Based – CT Community Hospital)

Base salary typically $425,000–$550,000, dependent on experience and case mix

Candidate Requirements
-
MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Completion of an accredited Urology residency

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology

Board certification required within 5 years if BE

Active Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain

Comfortable practicing across clinic, OR, and inpatient consult settings

Strong procedural and documentation skills
