ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Urologist to provide clinic and call coverage, with a long-term plan transitioning to call-only coverage beginning in late July. The role supports an internal provider and includes both outpatient clinic responsibilities and inpatient call coverage as needed. Coverage needs are ongoing, with flexibility depending on internal provider availability.

Dates / Schedule

• Coverage Timeline:

  • May–July: Clinic, call, and scheduled surgery coverage

  • Late July onward: Call-only coverage (long-term vision)

• Schedule:

  • 10–15 days per month (May–July)

  • Long-term: ~10 days per month, primarily call-only

  • Typical call stretch: Friday through Monday morning

• Callback Volume: Average of 1–5 hours

• FTE: 1.0

• Credentialing Timeline: ~90 days

Job Details & Responsibilities

• Provide urology clinic and call coverage

• Perform outpatient clinic visits and procedures

  • 15–20 clinic patients per day

  • 2–3 in-clinic procedures daily

• Surgical responsibilities include:

  • 3–4 scheduled and emergent cases

  • Typically 4 surgeries scheduled on surgery days

• Required procedures include cystoscopy and cystoscopy with dilation

• Rounding on post-operative patients and inpatient consults when on day call

• Clinic is located within the hospital

• Practice setting supported by 3 RNs and 1 CNA

• EMR: Epic

• Facility is located in Bismarck, North Dakota

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board-Certified Urology: Preferred

  • Board-Eligible accepted if within 5 years of residency

• North Dakota medical license: Highly preferred

• DEA license: Required

• NPDB self-query (within 30 days): Required at presentation

• Case logs: Required for review at presentation and offer

• Experience with cystoscopy and dilation procedures

• Ability to manage clinic, call, and surgical responsibilities as needed
