Locum Urology Opportunity in Bismarck, North Dakota!

Urology Physician (Clinic & Call Coverage)

Seeking locum urology coverage to support clinic, call, and procedural needs. From May through July, coverage will include clinic, call, and scheduled surgeries. Beginning in late July, the long-term plan is to transition to call-only coverage for approximately 10 days per month, typically running from Friday through Monday morning. When the internal provider is on vacation, the locum will be required to cover both clinic and call.

Assignment Details

• Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

• Practice Setting: Hospital-based clinic and call

• Schedule:

  • May–July: Clinic, call, and surgeries, approximately 10–15 days per month

  • Ongoing: Call-only coverage anticipated (about 10 days per month)

• FTE: 1.0

• EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide urology clinic and call coverage

• Perform procedures including cystoscopy and cystoscopy with dilation

• Clinic volume: 15–20 patients per day with 2–3 in-clinic procedures

• Surgical volume: Typically 4 scheduled surgeries on surgery days, plus emergent cases

• Inpatient responsibilities include rounding on post-op patients and inpatient consults when on day call

• Estimated daily inpatient census: 1–3 patients

Support & Resources

• Support Staff: 3 RNs and 1 CNA

• Clinic is located within the hospital

• Robotics not required

Reason for Coverage

• Support and assist the permanent urology provider with clinic and call responsibilities

Credentialing

• Estimated timeframe: Approximately 90 days

• Requirements include completed credentialing application, North Dakota license, DEA, supplemental documentation, and case logs

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified in Urology preferred; Board Eligible accepted if within 5 years of residency

• North Dakota medical license highly preferred

• NPDB self-query dated within 30 days of presentation (required)

• Case logs required at presentation and offer stage
