A hospital-based urology program in Shelby, North Carolina is seeking Urologists for locum tenens coverage beginning July 2026. This is a weekday-focused opportunity with in-house call, a manageable patient load, and both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
Assignment Details Coverage start: July 1, 2026 Ongoing need Three providers requested
Schedule Weekday coverage only In-house call for assigned and unassigned patients Call ratio: 1:5 Call response time: 30 minutes
Practice Setting Inpatient and outpatient setting Hospital Stroke Certified Trauma Level III facility
Patient Volume Clinic patients per shift: 5 Call patients seen per shift: 7 Phone consults per shift: 4 Facility size: 130 inpatient beds Emergency Department: 36 beds
Skills Required Adult urology Ureteroscopy
Provider Preferences Candidates within driving distance preferred
Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible – Required Active North Carolina medical license – Required Fellowship trained – Required
