Locums – Silverdale, Washington | Urology Opportunity (IMLC Accepted)

A busy and fast-paced urology practice in Silverdale, WA is seeking locum coverage due to an open position and recruiting challenges. This role offers consistent clinic and call coverage, strong support staff, and access to robotics if needed.

Coverage Dates (Minimum 3-Month Commitment Required):

March:

  • 2–6, 9–13, 16–20, 30–31

April:

  • 1–3, 6–10, 13–17, 20–24

May:

  • 4–8, 11–15, 25–29

June:

  • 1–5, 8–12, 22–26, 29–30

July and Beyond:

  • Every week open

  • Call schedule released approximately one month in advance

Schedule & Coverage Expectations:

  • Clinic: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Night call: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM (not every shift)

  • 24-hour call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM

  • Call ratio: 1:6

  • Minimum coverage: 5–6 days of call plus clinic coverage

  • Provider may take hospital call during clinic hours

Practice Setting:

  • Clinic and call

  • Sole provider in a high-volume department

  • Total FTEs needed: 1

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • General urology care in clinic and on call

  • Cystoscopy, vasectomy, prostate biopsy, TURP

  • Uroflow/cuff, bladder scans

  • Ureteroscopy, nephrectomy, cystectomy

  • ESWL, Botox injections, and additional bread-and-butter urology procedures

  • Robotics available onsite (robotic cases not required)

  • Hospitalist team handles admissions

  • Locum will perform rounding

Volume & Support:

  • Clinic volume: 20–25 patients per day

  • Surgeries: 20–30 per month

  • Call volume: 20% new consults / 80% callbacks

  • EMR: Epic

  • Support staff: 2 RNs, MA, Surgery Scheduler, 2 front office staff

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Urology (highly preferred) or truly Board Eligible (0–5 years post-residency)

  • Active Washington license highly preferred or IMLC (LOQ in hand at submission)

  • Active DEA required

  • ACLS & BLS required (candidates without may be considered if willing to obtain)
