Job description
Job Title: Locum Urologist
Summary: Join a dynamic healthcare team in Silverdale, Washington, as a locum Urologist for a duration of 3-6 months. This facility offers a collaborative environment with a fast-paced, busy department providing general urology care. You will enjoy the support of skilled staff, including RNs and MAs, and have access to advanced technology, including robotic systems for procedures. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to patient care and possess excellent customer service skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide general urology care in clinic and on call.
- Perform a variety of procedures, including cystoscopy, vasectomies, and prostate biopsies.
- Manage patient rounds and respond to hospital calls.
- Maintain high patient volume—approximately 20-25 patients per day.
- Complete 20-30 surgeries per month.
- Collaborate with a supportive healthcare team, including hospitalists.
- Document patient interactions using the EPIC EMR system.
- Participate in hospital call coverage, approximately 5-6 days per month.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Urology (highly preferred) or Board Eligible with 0-5 years post-residency.
- Active Washington medical license (preferred) or IMLC.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications required.
- Ability to cover 80% of specified shifts, with detailed availability required.
- Clean malpractice history (highly preferred).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Valid Washington State medical license or IMLC.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (or willingness to obtain if selected).
- DEA registration.
