This assignment involves providing call and surgery coverage, with the expectation of 5–7 days on call per month. The position is ideal for candidates experienced in a variety of urological procedures and offers the chance to work in a Level 2 Trauma facility. Non-local candidates may discuss housing and travel options as part of their assignment package.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide on-call coverage and perform scheduled surgeries on call days.
  • Conduct a warm hand-off to the incoming on-call provider at shift changes.
  • Manage and treat a range of urological conditions, both emergent and scheduled.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Urology
  • ABLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Proficiency in laparoscopic surgeries, robotic surgery, ureteroscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, pelvic node dissection, and renal and bladder ultrasounds.

Working Hours

  • On-call coverage could be scheduled Monday through Sunday, with each shift covering approximately 16 patient encounters.

  • Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (preferred)
  • Radical cystectomy with ileo-loop conduit (preferred)
  • Incontinence procedures (preferred)
  • Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) (preferred)
  • TRUS biopsies (preferred)
  • Partial nephrectomies/intraoperative ultrasound (preferred)
