Join our dedicated team in providing comprehensive urology care at a distinguished medical facility. You will have an opportunity to engage with patients in both clinical settings and through call coverage, ensuring high-quality care. This locum tenens assignment offers a dynamic schedule, including regular clinic hours and night call coverage along with some weekend commitments.

  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), Friday (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM), with night calls and weekend call coverage (7-10 days per month)
  • Patient Population: Adult
  • Location: Eureka, CA
  • Stipends: Housing options are available up to $3,500 per month

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide general urology services in the clinic.
  • Manage on-call duties, which may include nights and weekends during rotational coverage periods.
  • Perform advanced endoscopic techniques, laparoscopic surgeries, and ureteroscopic procedures.
  • Conduct radical cystectomies, prostatectomies, nephrectomies, and other required urological surgeries.
  • Utilize renal and bladder ultrasounds with biopsies as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Active CA medical license required.
  • Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Urology.
  • Completed Fellowship in applicable specialties preferred.
  • Must have 2 years of recent hospital clinical activity in urology.

Working Hours

  • Standard clinical hours Monday–Friday, with specified night call duties.
  • Weekend call coverage will be rotational and requires 24-hour availability.

Skills

  • Proficiency in general urology and advanced surgical techniques.
  • Ability to perform complex procedures such as radical prostatectomies and nephrectomies.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
  • Adept in using ultrasounds with precise biopsy capabilities.
